More on Lady Ice

Takineko pointed out David Kawena's concept renderings for the frosty femme fatale. And while I'm in a kudoing mood, composer Ricardo Gidon did quite a nifty job setting the tone and supporting the action.

Yeah, I was really impressed by the music in that, telling the story as it did. The only music-set-to-video I've ever done was for a "title sequence" -- this animation. Being just a title sequence, it didn't need much more than being frantic. It's all hand-drawn though, shading, backgrounds -- the whole nine yards -- the work of my old friend Federica Giulietti.

Federica had trouble getting that animation to stay on DeviantArt because the admins kept thinking it was a professional, real TV show's title sequence. Hopefully the makers of Lady Ice won't have the same difficulty.

Nice music. Had a very Tim Burton feel.

Ironic you should say that, as the animation originally was timed to the theme of the Beetlejuice cartoon series (which Burton wasn't part of, but still...). I had to write something that was timed the same, similarly frenetic, but otherwise entirely different.

Hi, thanks.

Just wanted to add that there's always time for more on the composing for movies side :)

Hi and thanks for the compliment.
Anyways, there's always more time on the composing for movies side.

Thanks again,
