Large Stinking Winter Storm

Patabook News

Oh, what a merry time to write. The heating bill is paid, the roof doesn't leak, and we have glass in our windows. In addition, our supply of coffee is ample. Under such conditions, working on my marathon book is a delight.

What if I lived in Seattle? Under such conditions, I'd be familiar with rainy weather and spend the time web surfing. A pleasant Christmas eve to one and all.

Having the heating bill paid and coffee in the house is something to be thankful for! Especially if you want to get some serious writing done! Do you drink your coffee with cream and sugar or black?

The only kind of storms I like this time of year are of the snowy persuasion, and even then, only when watching it from my apartment window. Manitoba is supposed to get a good dumping of snow on Monday and I'm looking forward to it!

As the lyricist said: "Let it snow. Let it snow."

Would you believe it, the weather people were right. We're getting dumped! (Who'd know that would be a good thing?🙃) But seriously, folks. Last summer was HOT with not enough rain. This should balance things out. PLUS, there's still January, where there's at least one GOOD storm.

For some reason, I'm thinking of the song, "It Never Rains in Southern California" . Do you live in SOUTHERN California? If so, I'm guessing the song lied.

Perhaps a dash of irony.
