Back in November, I really hurt my knees. Overtaining and incorrect running form combined to knock me onto the couch for two months. Last week, I was able to slowly run three times. Humbling. And not like I haven't been here before. Naturally, my weight ballooned thanks to a combination of relentless work load and no exercise.
Lost ground must be recovered gradually or I repeat the whole discouraging process once again.

OUCH!!! The perpetual circle. Running, injuries, restlessness that leads to premature running, which leads to re-injury. Well, Spring is a few months away, with the warmer weather for relaxed running or walking . Even more so, (oh, PLEASE GOD!) a rollout of more of the Covid Vaccine that will hopefully bring us back to a place of normality.
Oh, and CONGRATS on Mr. Biden and Ms. Harris in the White House. IF (taking politics with a grain and a half of salt) Mr. Biden keeps to his promises, perhaps U.S. of A. will see some semblance of NORMAL come summer time. Here's to hopin'.
When it comes to health care, don't pay any attention to the conspiracy nuts. They're a nickel a dozen, never mind a dime. If you have a good physician you can trust, he or she is the one you talk to. My own doctor has saved my life twice so he's the one whose advice I value.
And speaking of VALUE, if you value your legs (which I know you do) go easy! Don't do more than you can manage and rest when you have to.
I find that if I listen to a podcast, I'll run slower.
That'll be my plan for the next month or two.
That's a good idea! As long as the podcast is on, you'll keep moving but not as quick. It'll be physical and mental rejuvenation.
Go man, go!
