"Little Book" Review #2

You decide! Or decide here!

One never knows the sensitivities of a reviewer. In this case, my light-hearted book on a dispute over marketing copy between a New Age guru and a viagra salesman received a chilly reception. Last week fire, this week ice. Next week, hot water that's been left out a bit. Onward!

I have to go with Mel Brooks, who said, "Political Correctness is killing comedy."

At one writer's site I look in on, the host talks about "Sensitivity Readers." I THINK publishing companies hire these particular 'editors' to make sure the writer is representing a particular group properly. OY!🤦‍♀️ How did that reader NOT figure out that you were, to all intents and purposes, arguing with yourself, as Tollhaus?

Take it as a compliment...you convinced that reader you were arguing with a New Age Guru; trading insults. BRAVO!👏👏

In my latter day writing TV animation I worked on a show that used Sensitivity Readers. Talk about a cush job. I was glad the industry decided to move on without me.

It's not bad enough for a writer to have their own 'inner critic' now we have to tangle with everyone else's hyper sensitive nit-picky critic. That explosion you just heard was my brain calling it a day. 🤷😖😤😵
