whatcha' write'n? The sci fi novel?
Expanding a horror story from last year into a novel: 70 pages to around 300.
I find it daunting.
Wish me luck.
Go, John, go!
I do wish you luck sir! >:0
Good luck. ^^
...more than luck, I invoke the Best Seller Muse to camp in your spare bathroom. Hard times call for strong measures.

Remember, use lots of filler.
What type of content is ideal to expand a story that needs to be almost 4 times longer?
Armando,
The expansion must follow the characters wants. In my case, the protagonist's need for vengence is made difficult by physical and emotional barriers that must first be overcome.
All the new material must grow out of what I've previously written in the first 70 pages.
I know how it will end. Now I have to get there.
Hopefully, within my lifetime.-:)
I find this very interesting. Are the 70 pages of content going to be elongated or is the new material going to be a continuation?
Is there any "How to write fiction" you'd recommend particularly? These days you can find "how to do" anything on the internet. My joke telling improved a bit after watching this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LmnU1I6Pje4
Armando,
Comedy is pretty easy to learn - either the audience laughs or it doesn't.
Off-hand, there's no fiction-writing sites that I know. However, I'm sure there's a bunch out on the web.
I found a writer's workshop to be helpful in which a group of writers meet to share their work and critique one another with a moderator keeping things moving.
Very keen.
