The bowling alley in "Lebowski" was located in Hollywood. My friend was there for a farewell party in 2003 (?) just before they tore it down. He said the bartender was getting pissed at hearing, "Another Caucasian, Gary."H/T to MetaFilter and their link-rich article on Freakazoid.

I miss Freakazoid, Animaniacs, and especially Looney Tunes. Why cartoon network thought it would be a good idea to take those off air is beyond me. Why WB doesn't make more of them is an even greater mystery. I wish I could talk to the people responsible for these choices. And by talk I mean hit about the head with something large and wooden until in a vegetable state.
Alas, many already are in a vegetated state.
It makes the fact that they have those positions all the more tragic. A retarded monkey could do the job better. It's like Hollywood was infected with "The Fudd" and it was just never diagnosed.
So finally just caught Dini's "Legends of the Bat-Mite" episode of Brave and the Bold, and was severely enjoying the Freakazoid-like nods. Have you had a chance to catch it? There's a great revisit to the Comic-Con joke in there...
