What a pleasant surprise to get an unsolicited plug on your blog, John. I'm honored.
I'm a long-time reader (and fan of your work). Not sure why it's taken so long to get the courage to post in reply...guess I felt I wasn't worthy.
Or maybe I just never had anything worth posting.
Either way, I appreciate the mention very much. I've been self-publishing "Voice Actors in the News" since 1999, and only recently finally joined the blogoverse in order to reach a wider audience.
And if I hadn't spent most of my life admiring the talents of cartoon voice actors to the point that I started the web's first newsletter about them, I would have loved to do a blog about animation writers (which I also have great interest in). But just blogging about voice actors takes up so much my time that someone else will have to pick up the torch on that one.

Keep plugging away on voice actors. I know there are many fans out there who'd love to find a clearinghouse.
If you haven't done so already, you might consider starting a facebook site to promote your blog.
I'd follow his facebook if he had one.
John McCann there is a voice actor. He just doesn't know it yet. I'm still waiting for "The Adventures of Hero Boy" to be green lighted.
If we call him something else and get Rich Arons to do the artwork, we might have the "Valor Lad" show on You Tube.
It's been a hobby for 10 years, so I've never felt a need to promote it aggressively. I do occasionally mention certain posts via the social networking sites I'm on as well as some VO forums. But word of mouth has always served me well among fandom.
And I'm backlogged with unposted content too--by about 4 months (which is the primary reason I updated to a blog because the newsletter was randomly periodical and the format was very time-consuming), so whenever vanity prompts me to do some web marketing to boost my blog stats, I always feel that time could be better spent trying to get my bookmarks cleaned out.
I do have a Facebook group for "The Voice Actor Appreciation Society" which I occasionally promote the blog through. (Several other VAs are members too, like Rugg, LaMarche, and Tara Strong.)
But I hadn't thought of doing a "fan group" on FB for the blog only, so I appreciate the suggestions.
And on the off-topic comment, I too would love to see a Hero Boy series -- it would be especially appropriate to tie in with the upcoming CGI flick the spoof is based on.
And as far as I'm concerned, John, Douglas Douglas never got enough screen time on Freakazoid.
Never heard of it.. And why aren't you posting things to YouTube anyway?? It's free! Or NewGrounds for that matter.. You can sell merch.

Considering Douglas is one of my few residual-producing entities, I wish he'd been used a bit more also.

Now, back to the topic of Douglas Douglas...
John, this may surprise you, but the reason I find the character so amusing is because he reminds me of my dad.
Seriously.
My dad's quirky and eccentric, a little naive, says randomly odd things, and even though he's a computer supervisor for a hospital he's technologically inept. Dad knows two websites: eBay and Craigslist. Otherwise, the internet scares the crap out of him because he's afraid the government is trying to spy on him through it. He still can't operate a VCR, and we had to tape instructions to the remote after they got a DVD player.
I'd swear your Freakazoid staff had met my dad before, because you essentially created a cartoon version of him.
Fascinating about your dad.
