New Looney Toons?

Coming soon, another attempt to revive the Looney Toons. I recall the last animated TV series, Loonatics Unleashed, as being especially feckless. Still, one hopes for the best. Even a blind hen occasionally pecks some corn.

I just have to, was Paul Dini working on this before the retooling? And i think the show premiers this summer.

I believe Dini is/was doing a live-action show of his own design over at Cartoon Network.

Could be out this summer. I know they've been working on it for awhile.

The biggest problem with this new attempt, is that the person they got to design the character (why they felt they needed to reinvent the wheel is beyond me) did a horrible job on Bugs Bunny. Seriously he looks like a starving Ethiopian child now. I know a few people who will refuse to watch based on that alone. WB is incompetent beyond measure when it comes to handling their animation franchises. Walt Disney started a globe spanning empire with less. I don't blame the artists, I think these failures rest solely on the leadership. And the practice of trying to turn an art form into a starbucks. I will watch it. But I'm hoping they will come to their senses and go back to the classic model sheets for any future endeavor.

They may have thrown out the classic model sheets by now.

In any case, let's hope for the best.

Be a damn shame if they did. You could auction them for thousands. Tens of thousands if they are originals from the golden age. If you ever find yourself on another animated project for heritage characters and catch wind of something like that, see if you can snag a few, maybe put them up on ebay. You'll be rich, RICH I SAY! Also while it's on my mind, I gotta ask. How do you feel about so many people making Animaniacs fan characters? I always wondered how you guys or Tom would react if you saw them.

I'm delighted they care enough to do so. It keeps the characters alive.

I'm not sure about Tom, but I don't think he minds for similar reasons.

If you like I can show you at least some of the stuff I have done along those lines. Both on my blog and my deviant art page (Lukosv on DA if you use that site at all)

Love to see it.

Send me the links.
