I received an email from the LA Marathon. They said if I sign up and the event is cancelled, then I can credit my race to a future marathon. Basically, send us money today and you might get a number next year or so.
Deal?
Well, it beats hiding out from old Wuhan Virus.

Hmmmm..... Do you have any running pals who might be interesting in a bit of friendly competition. THAT way, failing a proper marathon, you can get a challenge without having to go 'virtual'.
The idea of giving any amount of money when you aren't even sure of a return, heck, you could go to Vegas and get the same outcome. Possibly even better.
Here's an idea, for what it's worth, maybe write a blog post for other runners in your area. That way, you can do the whole 'friendly competition' thing, meet a few new friends, keep a safe distance and get some exercise. It won't cost a darn thing, except maybe some gas money.
