I carry a mask, but don't wear it while running, relying on sunlight and fresh air to check the crafty Wuhan bug.
What will the future of racing be? Nowdays, runners may compete via the honor system in virtual races where they sign up, pay an entrance fee, run on their own, then receive finisher medals in the mail. A rather sterile endeavor. But I can't imagine any old-fashioned road races in the near future. This does dampen, but not extinguish, my marathon plans.
As a general note, I believe yesterday to be the most pre-pandemic day I've experienced since early March. Not only was traffic heavy, but I observed a maskless couple in a BMW zip into a handicapped parking space, run into a liquor store and buy cigarettes.
It's nice to see some of LA returning to normal.

Isn't it wonderful!!!!
I'm all for taking precautions, or we're back to square one. But being able to go out for a run or bit of relaxation is heaven! Even the sound of Los Angeles traffic must have been the sound of music.
Truth to tell, I don't do the mask thing OUTSIDE if I'm a healthy distance from others. If I can sit at a bench and read or write while sipping on a chilled coffee, it's all good. Very much looking forward to getting back to church and being able to enjoy a specialty coffee and pastry at my favorite cafe. For now, this is enough.
As always, go easy at first and gradually walk yourself into a jog and run. Oddly, it's only been two months give or take, but for people who have businesses and have been out of work.... OUCH! It's a slow climb but we'll get there, so long as we don't run before we can walk (so to speak). ðŸ¤
Enjoy!
I, too, wear no mask in the open when not around others. And especially when I'm running.
Oddly enough, I pass some runners wearing masks.
I need all the oxygen I can get.
