"Concentrated Humanity"
Viennese psychiatrist Viktor Frankl lost his family in the Nazi concentration camps. Later, he wrote a powerful book on his own experiences in Auschwitz and other hellish locales. Entitled Man's Search For Meaning, Frankl theorized that "the desire for meaning is more fundamental to the human experience even than the desire for pleasure or power."

In comparison to what that poor man, and millions had to deal with, under the Nazi regime, we're doing fine. There is food and people are helping each other.
To my knowledge, no one is being dragged OUT of their homes. In fact, people are being encouraged to stay at home. With the help of medical science, and common sense (let us pray!) this wide spread HEALTH ISSUE can be dealt with and in short order. From what I've heard, the countries that were first affected are now getting back to normal. Whereas,there was no medical cure for Nazis, or Stalinists and whoever else was doing incalculable devastation.
Sadly, I work with people who are feeding on bad news and force feeding it to others. Thankfully, others do themselves good by giving others positive words of encouragement even as they occupy their time in more constructive pursuits.
Do a good deed. Share a kind word. Small as it might be to you, it would mean the world to someone who needs it.
In general, the cure to Communism and Nazism is education
and a knowledge and respect for the Western liberal tradition.
Of course, sometimes more drastic measures are necessary.

Those who are stridently ANTI-WAR, no matter what would suggest that guys like Stalin and Hitler could be reasoned around. Would to God that were true.
These guys had EGOS roughly two continents large and ISSUES. REASONING characters like Hitler out of their first cause and 'final solution' was impossible because REASON and rational thought had NOTHING to do with why they were doing what they were doing in the first place.
Hitler was a raging racist and an ANTI-SEMITE of the first order, just because his biological father was Jewish. Then again, had his father been, say....French Canadian, Quebec and Montreal would be sans some beautiful landmarks, not to mention any number of people.
