I can't believe I knew so little about him and he was so prevelant for so long. :c I'm ashamed!
Ugh, Pancreatic cancer... that's so horrid. x.x
I'm continually amazed with the cast you guys had for Freakazoid, really incredible. I want you to know-- if you haven't known already-- that Candlejack is actually a popular meme on the internet. People will mention something about him by name, then cut off their conversation in mid sentence, as if they were kidnapped by him. This is of course followed by many replies very similar, "Oh no he said Candlejack! What are we go-"
Etc.
I love that most everyone knows what it means and how to follow along.
And it's a durable meme, in that it's lasted a few years.
On Freakazoid, I must admit I never knew we had it so good.
I didn't know much about Kenneth Mars. To me he was a recurring fun face in the type of stuff I like to watch. Checking Wikipedia I learned that I know him mostly from speaking roles.
Producers and Young Frankenstein were his biggest.
Though I enjoyed him in Malcolm in the Middle.
Yeah, I think Malcolm in the Middle and Police Academy coined his face in my mind. Although I identify a lot of his animated roles, specially the ones for Disney and WB.
I think he had a voice in The Little Mermaid.
King Triton. I just found out that he also did a Darkwing Duck villain that reminded me of the Penguin. I can't believe I remember that, I was like 12 when that series was airing.
Good catch.
