ARGH!!! I missed your send-off!!!

Okay. I don't know how it came out yet, so I hope that means I can still say *Good luck.*

Or - ummm - excuse me, am I supposed to say *break a leg* instead?

"Good luck" works just fine.

You wouldn't believe how many nice people sincerely tell me not to trip and break my leg again. "Don't fall," "be careful," "watch yourself."

It's like having over a dozen parents.

Just killing time right now before I go down into the lobby for the ride to the start line.

Temperature outside is in the low 30s. The high today is predicted to be 49.

I'm already cold.

Can't wait to start.

John, does that mean I was the only one who tried to tell you to break it?

heh! People are so silly.

jeff carroll, I'm not a runner. Of course that doesn't preclude me learning how to understand those numbers. But I'll be glad to hear the dumbed-down version, such as, He ran the marathon in *xyz minutes.* Just to be sure my antiquing brain can't clam up on me.

Impressive, I'll take your word on. And back it up with 30 years of thinking the same thing.

Thanks Jeff and K,

Still in Phoenix visiting family and friends. I'll be blogging about the race in a few days.

Temperature at the start was 29 degrees.

More nippy than anyone cared for.
