Couldn't sleep, flipped and flopped; thought about the fantasy book I'm researching; had some great ideas for backstory; got up and wrote them all down, four pages, single-spaced. Now I'm considering going back to sleep. But I thought I'd post this rare triumph over my recent writing ennui.

Hi J.P. First off, I LOVE your new blogger background! It suits your subject matter over all! And of course, BRAVO on conquering your writiter's block.
Wouldn't you figure it would happen in the middle of the night? My inspirations usually hit when I'm at work and can't just sit and scribble. But if I can keep one word of the idea glued into my grey cells til I get home, I usually remember the rest. Again, congrats. But for Christmas, you might consider getting your muse a wrist watch.
Glad you like the new look. A little more traditional, but you don't have to hunt for my books.
Glad you can cling to those ideas until yo get home. That's the one advantage of being retired: you're almost always home.
I'll check the Amazon Gift Page of my muse. Hopefully, muses like cheap watches.
The great thing about muses is that they work OLD SCHOOL. Just so long as it works. Do you have a Shopper's Drug Mart? Men's watches are like...$20 very reasonable. I just got a watch for $15 . It got a fake gold face and I liked the numbering font . It does the job.
I love the RETIREMENT idea. Oh BOY, do I! But, it's the weekend....I'll make due with the weekend.
