Via The Village Voice, South Park creators Parker and Stone were investigated five years back by the Church of Scientology. Private eyes spied on the pair and searched public records—as well as trash— for anything incriminating that might be used against the duo in retaliation for a South Park episode mocking Scientology beliefs.
Never a dull moment with the Hubbardites.

The Scientologist are a mean lot who will go to great lengths to stop anyone from saying anything the least bit nega---
ahhhhhhh...
That is, I like them a lot.
I've even left a note in my trash saying the same thing so that the private investigators will find it and go tell the appropriate people.
OIf you aren't carefull, you'll throw their god away, that may rub them the wrong way.
Like radical Islam, they have a low tolerance for disrespect.
Well, if you worship a tree in your backyard, or a can of soup in your kitchen, where do you draw the line for disrespect.
Scientology will drawn that line across your privacy and good name.
Radical Islam will draw that line right across your neck.
A man worshiping soup cans, if he has enough money or feels the benefits outweigh the risks, can make you pay for disrespect regardless of the nature of his beliefs.
What ever happened to live and let live?
I was told wrong, I thought scientologists came to a point to where they could choose anything to be the symbol of their gid. I'm probably wrong though, which is fairly more commin.
Not sure about God per se and Scientology.
I thought it was mostly an internal job with aliens and a volcano mixed in.
That supposedly has something to do with it (volcanos and aliens) But also, they folow a diet (and pay money to someone) and eventually progress to a point where they can choose what the incarnation of their god is. (i.e, a tree, or a soup can)
I knew about the diet, but not the incarnation aspect.
A many-faceted faith.
