The saddest thing is that, when this fails miserably (if it hasn't already), executives will be convinced that people just aren't interested in Looney Tunes anymore.
Or they need to wear baggie pants and listen to more house music.
I don't know Keeper, Cartoon Network has been playing classic Looney Tunes all month and will throughout the end of May. They have to be getting good ratings or Cartoon Network would not be paying the royalties to air Looney Tunes. By the way, if you'd like to watch Looney Tunes, they air at 6:00 AM eastern time, and 12:00 PM eastern time.
From what I've seen in clips this show doesn't really grab my attention very well, not enough looney movement, to much talk, not enough action. Not even any witty banter. Oh well. It isn't my money they're wasting.
Saw the show. It was okay, boring, generic, and slow paced. Probably the biggest hit in the face is the sheer lack of background music. It just is not Looney Tunes without the orchestra. I've heard that the budget for each episode was 750,000 dollars. I don't know how hight that is in comparison to, say, Animaniacs, but they have to have money in there for orchestra tracks. The biggest problem is it just does not have energy, or charisma behind it. It is, what it is, Seinfeld with bad timing and no charisma.
