Paul Rugg Records Tom Ruegger Characters

Thanks to said garage band, Paul Rugg and I recorded voices to different characters that Tom Ruegger had drawn, with Tom serving as engineer. Great fun all around and a nostalgic reminder of times past. Tom will animate a few and put 'em on the web. More than likely, some will find their way here in the next few months.

Troy, Freakazoid DVD director, has his own blog. Visit and learn about fine cultural happenings.

I have gas today.

I laughed so hard today that I cried, and almost micturated.

Thanks so much to you and Paul for such a fun and funny day.

Sounds like a lot of fun. Whenever I see a new character that someone draws, there's quite often a voice, accent, lisp, whatever, that comes to mind for it.

Those beavers make me recall the names of one of the character franchises originally designed for Animaniacs that never made the final cut -- Bossy Beaver & Doyle. I suppose the idea (and, perhaps, designs) has been bouncing around Tom's head ever since.

Bossy Beaver and Doyle never really made it off the launch pad.

But I think there's life in some of these critters. We'll see.

I went to bed right after looking at this last night, and couldn't sleep because those beavers were creating a scene in my head. I had to get up and write it all out.

Maybe tonight if I warn my landlord & landlady not worry if they hear me shouting and ranting like a lunatic, I'll act out the scene and record it with my cheap microphone.

So, here's what was running through my head last night after seeing that picture.

Naturally, I couldn't sleep with all that racket in my brain.

Rest now.

If you're unemployed, you can rest at home all day.

If you work for the government, you can rest at work.
