I thought MGM was bought out by Disney a long time ago. WB owned it at one point to. I thought that was how Ted got distribution rights to the MGM toons.
At least it's an attempt at a reorg and not a final liquidation Chapter 7 kind of thing. However, $4 billion is a staggering amount of debt to try to recover from.
They may have sold just their film catalog.
